ON IMMIGRATION, HISTORY, CURRENT LEGISLATION, LOCAL UPDATE AND

MASSACHUSETTS IMMIGRATION TRAINING.

GUEST SPEAKERS:

BILL NEWMAN, Bill is a civil rights and civil liberties lawyer. Radio Host of TALK OF THE

TALK, podcaster, author and educator. Nominated as a Best Lawyers in America in the

area of Civil Liberties. Bill will answer questions about the history of immigration and

current situation questions.

CRISTINA DACCHILLE FREEMAN: Managing Attorney for Massachusetts Immigration

and Refugee Advocacy (MIRA) for new Immigrant Assistance Services (IAS) Program

which provides legal consultation and support for families. She will be virtually teaching

Know Your Rights Training

GILBERTO CALDERIN: Director of Advocacy at Massachusetts Immigration and Refugee

Advocacy (MIRA) Coalition. Gil will go over the Safe Communities Act and important

legislation to follow.

AISHA MCCLURE: Local immigrant activist who highlights the need for stronger local

support. Aisha will provide an update on local issue.
